Margaret R. Dodson, CPA


Margaret Dodson is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service where she earned her Bachelor of Science of Foreign Service in December, 1972. She also attended the University of North Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration in August, 1975.

Margaret started her accounting career in 1975 with KPMG in their Jacksonville office where she worked for three years in auditing and consulting. After KPMG, Margaret worked for several Fortune 500 companies, eventually attaining the position of Vice-President/Controller for the local division of Champion International. She came to Knutzen & Associates in 2008 and was admitted to the partnership in 2010. In January, 2012 when James Knutzen retired, Margaret became one of the three primary shareholders of the firm. In this capacity she has assumed the administrative duties for the firm and contributes as much time as possible to both the auditing and tax practices throughout the year.

Margaret is qualified to perform audits of business and non-profit organizations. She has experience with HUD audits and filings with the Federal Clearing House. Margaret has extensive experience in preparing tax returns for non-profit organizations (Form 990) and small businesses.
